Job Description
Test Technician
Summary: Evaluates products by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares tests by studying test objectives, standards, methods, conditions, and equipment.
Identifies product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests.
Documents test outcomes by completing test logs.
Reports test outcomes by collecting data.
Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains test information data base by entering and backing up data.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
Electric motor/gear motor testing or repair helpful but not required.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Microsoft Excel, multi-meter, oscilloscope, basic machine tools (mill/lathe). Technical degree in Electrical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred but not required.
